Articles by Eric Hochstein
In today's digital economy, connections are lifelines. Mr. Hochstein has been called a natural connector. He's someone who connects dots that others haven't noticed exist. He sees relationships where others see empty space.
With a network that spans the globe, crosses industry lines, and is more than just "Linked", he makes connections that make differences, that lead to business, that create opportunities, and in some cases, that end up in lifelong friendships.
Highstone Associates, Inc. was founded by Eric Hochstein in 2002. The firm builds on his global experience in leadership positions with technology, software and telecommunications companies, as a management consultant to Fortune 500 companies, and as a legislative assistant to members of the US House of Representatives and the US Senate. Key clients have included the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation, Economic Development Lethbridge (Alberta, Canada), the Antigua and Barbuda Investment Authority, the Museum of Science and Industry (Chicago), Electronic Knowledge Interchange, Prism Capital Management, Cognitek, lnc., and other public and private organizations. In addition to Mr. Hochstein's experience with leading corporations such as ATT, Verizon, Rockwell International, Nortel, and Arthur D. Little, Inc., Highstone Associates, Inc. builds on a broad and deep network of relationships with individual experts and organizations that can work together. Rather than hiring dedicated "team" members in a traditional company organization, Highstone Associates, Inc. forms flexible teams of subject matter experts to address the specific needs of clients. Mr. Hochstein serves as client liaison, project manager, lead consultant, and strategic director, and when necessary and appropriate (and with client knowledge and approval), brings in professional partners to focus on specific areas of projects. In today's complex environment, no single consultant can be expert in all areas of a significant project. Few companies can afford to maintain a staff of industry and subject matter experts. In this environment, Highstone Associates has found it effective to work with a network of trusted partners to meet client needs and provide expert and exceptional service on a case-by-case basis. Mr. Hochstein maintains a wide network of complementary consulting relationships globally and across the United States and Canada. In some cases, Highstone Associates, Inc. leads projects. In others, Highstone Associates, Inc. provides services to others.
Eric Hochstein, founder of Highstone Associates, Inc., has been on the leading edge of information, technology and business innovation since he helped “telephone” companies navigate out of regulatory cocoons in the days of emerging mobile telephony, electronic commerce, and the Internet.
He has worked with leading technology vendors in customer relationship management, contact centers, and Internet platforms and is most recently active in Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence. His current work, with the Institute for Robotic Process and Artificial Intelligence (IRPA AI) brings him into contact on a daily basis with companies delivering innovative solutions to the market as well as with companies seeking to effectively and profitably deploy technologies to improve business processes, productivity, and products.
He is also an expert in issues relating to outsourcing, offshoring, and the American economy since 2003. He has worked closely with communities in North America to help them attract new technology-related companies, including outsourcing service providers, and to develop new technology-based clusters. In recent years, he has become an advisor on automation and digitization of business process, particularly in the contact center.
